Re: Details on existing indexes?

Both editions are visible to me. See below. When you say "content manager" you're talking about my.igigbook.com, correct?

Re: Details on existing indexes?

We try to make the title of the index as specific as possible to make it easy to identify which index it is. When there are several versions available we try to notate that in the title of the index. In your example "The Ultimate Broadway Fakebook" , there are 5 editions of this book, we have index...

Re: Details on existing indexes?

99% of the indexes are built from the index contained in the physical book itself. That's right, those pages that you need to use an offset to jump over are what's used to create the index. It's common not to proof a PDF, it's time consuming, but all of the information you need is right there in th...

Details on existing indexes?

I periodically have this situation: A bandmate or I has a PDF or a hardcopy document which we think matches one of the standard iGigBook indexes, because the book titles basically match; but then after activating the index via my.igigbook.com, this turns out to be wrong. Either it turns out to be a ...

Re: Don't see toolbar to share (pdf) set list

FWIW, I very occasionally have situations like this, where strange symptoms appear or common functions stop behaving normally. Another example is when all the app settings icons disappear from the iOS settings page. When I see similar anomalous behavior, closing apps sometimes resolves the issue but...

Setting offsets via four fingers

I just want to thank you for implementing the quick mechanism for setting offsets (by tapping four fingers and entering the the visible page number). I just set up an iPad for a bandmate that required offset-setting for 49 books, and this method was so much faster than the old way. (Since I'm mentio...

Re: Feature Request - Multiple instances of a song in gig list

Sorry to revive an old thread, but has this behavior been changed? I can no longer add a second instance of a song -- although renaming works as before, trying to add the tune again does nothing. I have also stopped seeing the "this title is already in your setlist" message if the first instance was...

Ah, that explains it. Thanks much. I assumed it had to be another mistake on my part.

Holiday charts not installing

I'm having trouble with the free transposable holiday charts on my iPhone. The entry says "buy" and when I click it I see "creating gig book" for a moment, but that's it. No change. The tunes never seem to install. The other transposable charts work fine, and all three work on my iPad. Any suggestio...

iPhone 7 plus surprisingly readable

I just installed iGigBook on a new iPhone 7 plus, and to my delight the large screen and high res make it a very usable reference. This phone is actually viable for gig use! (As long as I'm wearing my reading glasses.) Obviously it's not a substitute for a tablet display, but it will be good in a pi...
