Re: Distributing bookmark files?

And let me reiterate that we're finding the existing bookmark support excellent, convenient, and practical. Indexing has some additional advantages, of course, but for many "second tier" resources such as band-specific books, bookmarks do the job. They let us search for songs by title using Song Sea...

Re: Distributing bookmark files?

You can do that but there's no guarantee that it will work in the future. Thanks very much, and the warning is understood and heeded. (If you had said "that definitely won't work, because bookmark data is stored in other places besides the .bookmark file" then we wouldn't have bothered trying.) So ...

Re: Distributing bookmark files?

If you were using indexing you could avoid all of these issues because indexing is designed specifically to address these issues. Well yes I do use indexing, but based on your past advice I have started using bookmarks for files that need to change frequently, and this is working very well. As you ...

Distributing bookmark files?

When I install a new pdf and import bookmarks, iGigBook creates an internal .bookmark file. These files, along with all our other files, get saved when we make manual backups of our iPad data. When sharing a PDF with band members, would it be appropriate to distribute its .bookmark file as well, so ...

Re: Help Set Manager deal with orphan references

I'm glad it's working out for you but we haven't made any changes that address anything that you have posted. Hilarious. I must have just discovered features or behavior that I'd overlooked. Well, thanks for having them there anyway even if I missed them. I do think it would be helpful if, instead ...

Re: Help Set Manager deal with orphan references

Amazing, you apparently just made a change that addresses this issue! Now I see that I can add new results much more quickly. I haven't done much work yet with the new version, but it looks like this will be a huge time-saver. Thanks for again anticipating our needs!

Help Set Manager deal with orphan references

This has to do with resolving "orphans" in setlists when the source documents are removed or renamed. I keep a number of longer-term setlists, such as holiday tunes and tunes for a particular band. In my normal management of My Scores PDFs, I sometimes consolidate a number of individual scores into ...

Re: Add all or selected book entries to setlist

I just discovered that this capability exists! I don’t know whether you just added it or if it’s been there all along. Thanks either way, either for responding to the request or for anticipating it in the first place. I’ve already started using it and it’s literally saved me hours of work.

Add all or selected book entries to setlist

I sometimes need to create a setlist mostly or exclusively drawing from a band- or genre-specific book. Sometimes all or many of a single book’s entries will be used. For example, I have a book with 75 tunes that one band uses for all its jobs. Every setlist uses some subset of these. For these situ...

Which PDF utility are you using? I would love to find a more robust automatic bookmark tool.
