Re: iGig Book on ChromeOS

So I'm answering my own post :D I recently purchased an HP X2 Chromebook and loaded iGigbook on it. I'm happy to report that it runs fine on Chrome OS (v74.x). So far so good, no major hiccups. I'll use it on my first gig tonight and I'll post back if there were any problems. The only caveat that I ...

Re: iGigBook Version 6.0.3 For iPad, iPad Mini, iPad Pro Now Available

Hi Phil,

Any chance that some of these features might make their way into the Android version? It's been quite a while since the last update and we're starting to feel like the bastard step children.

That said ... I still love the app and use it on every gig.

Thanks,
Dwayne

Re: 2 ipads and gigbook "master" and "slave"

+1 for this feature.

Image this scenario ... Band leader has the master, all the band members each are "slaved" to this master tablet. A tune is picked on the master and it comes up on all the band member's tablets simultaneously.

That would (IMHO) be a killer feature.

Thanks,
Dwayne

iGig Book on ChromeOS

Hi Phil, I've read that some variants of Chrome OS can run Android apps. Just curious if you (or anyone out there) tested iGigbook on a ChromeBook? A lot of inexpensive ones are coming out with much larger screens than tablets have. Running this on a 12 or 13 inch screen would be awesome! Thanks, Dw...

Re: Bb single index accessible only through C book

Yeah, mine does that too. I think is the nature of the single index system. Since I play tenor most of the time, I set my default to Bb. Then I can easily switch to C or Eb if I feel like playing flute or alto.

Re: Perceived Delay when opening songs.

Hi Phil... So far, I haven't had any luck determining if another app is interfering with iGigbook and causing the slowness. :( I was considering trying a re-install. Are there any articles on that for Android? (I did notice one for IOs). Of course I'll back up the pdfs. Are there any other files tha...

Re: Perceived Delay when opening songs.

Actually, Its more of a global issue on all of the PDFs. Even the "standard" ones like the Real Books. Any thoughts on the quantity of titles question? I'm still trying to determine if 4,825 titles is a lot. As a test, I may disable some of the lesser used books and still if the response time improv...

Perceived Delay when opening songs.

Hello, I recently observed a noticeable delay when opening a song in iGigBook. For me, it takes about 5 seconds after you click on the song title till the PDF shows up. I’m not saying that this is extremely long. It just seems longer that it used to be. So now I’m trying to judge if I just have ...

Android 7.x

Just curious if anyone out there has this running on Android 7.x ? Or has any of the developers checked that on an emulator?

I'm asking Santa for a Pixel C and it would be awesome to run this on it.

Thanks,
Dwayne
