Change songs in a SET (not next page in a book)?

Post by lindsayward » Wed Jun 19, 2013 10:11 am

Hi there,
I have the pager app and can change pages, but it seems fairly useless if it takes me to the next page in the BOOK, when I'm viewing a song in a SET.
(i.e. it acts as a swipe left/right, not as a tap (top/bottom)

Can it work that way? So it goes to the next page/song in the current set? That would be useful.
Thanks.

The pager app was designed for situations where you can't really use your hands to turn pages while reading a multiple page score, so no, it can't be used to move from song to song.

Hi Phil,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
Can I ask you to consider this please? It seems it wouldn't be too hard to add as an option.
Currently the app sends up/down signals - so it seems you could have an option to choose left/right signals and then the same buttons (next/previous) just send slightly different signals.
It really would make the pager a more useful app - and thus make iGigBook a better product - hopefully without too much more work for you.

Thanks!

The iGigBook Pager is already very useful as I and others have used it on many a reading gig to great effect.

You can achieve what you want by emailing the set list plus the items in the set as a PDF to yourself. Having a PDF of all of the songs in your set, you will get the desired effect with iGigBook Pager and this is something that you can do today.

Thanks for the reply again.
The solution you suggest does not sound like a good option compared to simply giving the app the choice to go left-right instead of up-down. (It requires an Internet connection and you would have to re-email the PDF each time you change the set, and you'd have extra files to manage...).

Again, I do hope that you add this to your TODO. It would also give the pager app a more recent "date updated", which always looks good to potential new customers.
Thanks in advance.

One Book Mode currently available in iGigBook allows taps to advance to the next song in a set. When you tap on the last page of a song, even if that song is part of a larger PDF, you will advance to the first page of the next song in the set.
