"Flagging" favorite songs

Post by rverette » Sun Sep 28, 2014 2:52 pm

As we all know, if you have enough books, when you perform a song search, multiple results will come up. When that happens to me, I have to try and remember which books are my favorites and pick the song from the right book. As an example, some of my books are bass clef and some are not. (I'm a bassist)

I would like a way to flag or otherwise alert me when a song title in the results list is from one of my bass clef books. This way, I can select it immediately without having to memorize which book it's in or going from song to song until I find the right one.

Can this be done now? If not, this would be a great feature since I'm sure many users suffer the same problem.

Currently there isn't a way to do this, however if you set the Book Default to Bass in settings under TRANSPOSITION, the Book List view will indicate all of the indexes that have a bass clef PDF associated with it. You would of course have to use the Single Index System outlined here:

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=408

Unfortunately for the searches the book title does not include the current transposition setting, we'll get that into a future release.

You can also pick an index that you pick songs from frequently and search from there. Any songs in that index will appear and if the song you're looking for isn't in that index you then get results from the other indexes.
