How to delete old book indexes?

Hi there.
I have 2 old book indexes left over from some failed attempts to upload my own PDF and index for it. When I use the website "My Books" section to delete these, it says "All Song Entries For This Index Must Be Deleted Before This Index Can Be Deleted."
There are about 150 songs in each book, and I am not about to delete each song entry 1 by 1 to achieve this, so please let me know how it can be done efficiently. If it can't, can I please suggest that you make a facility available to us to do this?
(The two book indexes are not active, but I want to get rid of them. They are: snbbguitr and snguitar)

Currently the only way to delete a book entry is to delete all of the song entries one by one first. We may revisit this at some point, but this is how it currently works.

OK. I hoped that wasn't the case, and I hope you do improve this at some stage.
It would be quite normal to have something like "deleting this book index will delete all song entries; are you sure?"

I have a book with over 1000 songs and the index has an error in it. I need to delete the entire book and start over. I too get the message "All Song Entries For This Index Must Be Deleted Before This Index Can Be Deleted". I can't even find instructions for how to delete song entries! Can anyone show me how to delete all of the song entries so I can delete the book? Thanks!

Actually, another option for me is to simple reload the new index over the old one. Do you know if there is an index key such that duplicate keys will replace... or will reloading the same index create duplicates?

Why don't you just use the content manager to correct the errors? This is what we do and I suggest you do the same.

My index has over 1000 entries and 90% of them are incorrect. The best solution is to delete the entire book/index and start over. I might also try loading the correct index "over" the existing one but I have a feeling it will create duplicates as there is no indication that a database key exists. Will it create duplicates?

Serious question: What is incorrect about the over 900 entries?

There was a duplicate song entry early on in the list and it made the offset incorrect for the remaining songs.

Issue solved. I was able to adjust the PDF file instead of the index. Thanks Phil for your time.
