Classic Real Book Bb - Index missing?

The Classic Real Book Bb indexes appear to have gone missing. They used to be crealbk1bb, crealbk2bb, and crealbk3bb. I saw the tutorial on how to use the same index for the same book in different keys, but I want to have them indexed separately, because the offset on my books are different. This used to work. Not sure when it went away, but during my last gig I could no longer find any of my Bb charts.

Seperate indexes are no longer available. You can use a free PDF editor or Preview on the Mac to add blank pages so that the PDF files have the same offset.

Thanks. Do you also plan to do this with "The New Real Book" volumes? Right now I have them indexed separately. It would be nice to either have consistency with all the books, or give the option to index either way. If I were to rename my Bb New Real Book from the indexed nrealbk1bb to nrealbk1_bb, would it work on one index like the classic Real Books?

Also, when you search for a song, the old way let you know all the books that song is in including C and Bb books. Now, it just shows the "C" book that it is in, and you have to remember that you also have the Bb, Eb or whatever book also loaded. It would be nice when you search a song, if it is in a book that you have C and Bb books for, It indicated the keys available.

No, The New Real Book in C is different from The New Real Book in Bb or Eb.

HI,
Thanks. I read it.
But wanted to confirm that there isn't an existing Bb index.

I would need to add blank pages to my Bb pdf to ensure that the C index matches my book..
A lot of manual effort.
Thanks

It's been many years since we had a separate index for Bb, Eb books that are the same. Your option today? The Single Index System, which works very well. Yes, you will have to have the same number of pages preceding the first song in each PDF but it's a lot less effort than scanning a physical book to create a PDF, creating an index or using the PDF without one.
