Issues With The New Real Book

The app does not work with real books that have more than one page on some charts. I have The New Real Book PDFs installed on the app. After 6 tunes, the song links do not take you to the correct pages because some of the songs are 2 pages long. For example clicking on Ana Maria takes you to page 8 (the second page of Ana Maria), then clicking on Angel Eyes takes you to page 10 (the second page of Angel Eyes), and then clicking on Anthropology takes you to page 12 (which is Autumn Leaves). This pattern continues throughout the rest of the book. Clicking on Up Jumped Spring takes you to Speak Low; that is 43 pages off! You need to add a feature in this app to allow the user to manually assign page numbers to songs because currently this doesn't work.

The PDF you have is missing pages(can you find "All of Me" and "All The Things You Are" pages 3 and 4 of the physical book) and is not something you scanned yourself, that you have reviewed to verify all of the pages are present or checked against the actual physical book. The index is correct, your PDF is not.

How To Adjust An Index To Fit Your PDF

I've included the above link for reference though what you need to do is to restore the missing pages to the PDF you have by scanning the pages of the physical book that are missing (best solution since you may need the missing songs) or adding blank pages.

"How to adjust an index to fit your pdf" works, I find, but I have to repeat it every time I power up and open iGigbook. Is there a step I am leaving out to make the adjustment permanent or do I have to repeat the adjustment every time I open iGigbook?

You need to be connected to the internet.

I just did it again now, connected to the internet. After I exited and then returned to iGigbook, (still connected to internet BTW) the pages were again unsynced and I had to do it again. I have found that I do not have to be connected for the instruction for fixing pages to work, but connected to the internet or not, I have to do it everytime I open iGigbook. Or, are you saying this is something I have to in the same internet session as when I import the pdf book for it to be permanent?

I'm describing what is supposed to work however it DOESN'T WORK as you have discovered and will be fixed in version 4.0.1. Thanks for bringing this to our attention since it has never worked in the Android version but you're the first person to mention it. This is largely due to the offset being set remotely but a local copy not being saved for when you exit and return to the app. A sync will have the new offset.

Thank you! Any idea when version 4.0.1 will be available? will there be an email notification to members?
