Got a 1st Gen iPad and want iGigBook?

Post by SiteAdmin » Tue Feb 04, 2014 7:24 pm

Version 1.95 is the last version of iGigBook that works with an iPad 1st Gen. You cannot purchase this from your device, however you can purchase the latest version via iTunes on your computer and download version 1.95 to your iPad 1st Gen.

1. Purchase the latest version of iGigBook Version via iTunes on your computer (Not your iPad).

2. Now go to your 1st Gen iPad (Not connected to your computer) and open the App Store App and select the Purchased tab.

3. Locate iGigBook and select the cloud icon next to it and download version 1.95 to your 1st Gen iPad.

Hi administrator, I hope you can help me. I followed these instructions, but unfortunately on iTunes currently there is only the latest version and one other. I assumed the "one other", which looked much like the image you show here, was the 1.95 or older that would work with my antique iPad. However, once I bought it, I could see in the details page that it's version 2.0. Is 1.95 no longer available? If it is, where can I buy it? And (long shot) - can I exchange the version I bought for the right one?

I would love to try this app, I've heard great things. But I have an older iPad and don't plan to get a new one any time soon. Thanks! I will also try emailing your help address.

UPDATE Ha! figured it out - I'll leave this post up here in case it helps anyone else. I pulled up the purchased app using the iPhone tab (I have a newer iPhone, so I think that is key), and when I tried to install it on the iPad, it asked if I want the older version. I said yes, and voila! Can't wait to try it out now.

I'm glad you got that figured out. The instructions upon review were not very clear and have been updated to reflect the fact that you have to purchase the latest version of iGigBook via iTunes and then download 1.95 from the cloud.

Hi Phil.

I have an iPad1 with 1.95. Used it successfully for a gig two weeks ago. A few days ago I noticed it acting up. When I select a song iGigBook no longer senses a touch on the bottom of the page to go to the next page of the song. Similarly, it no longer senses a touch in the center of the screen to expand the score to fill the screen. I can side-swipe to get the next song, and can press the exit button on the top left.

I have iBooks which runs fine.

Any ideas before I reset the iPad and reload everything? Your help is appreciated. Love my iGigBook and use it as my lightweight fake book library.
