Hi. I'm experiencing the app closing, too, every time I tap the Book lists button. I've tried all the remedies listed in the initial post. For a reset, after backing up my iPad, I selected the option "Reset all settings" and followed through with that, but that didn't make a difference.

What to do next...?

I have the iPad Air 2 and am using iOS 8.1.3 and iGigBook v. 2.67.

What you are describing does not sound like the problem described. We're talking about viewing a chart i.e. sheet music and without any user interaction the app just closes. This doesn't sound like what you are experiencing. What are you selecting from the Book List? What do you mean by "Book lists button"? It isn't clear to me what you mean.

I've just started to get the problem immediately reported above - i.e. not the initial problem. This is post just upgrading to 2.67 with the pictures of the pdf front covers - before this, it didn't crash.
Now when I go onto book list and scroll down a set number of books, it crashes every time without fail, and exits the programme. It will scroll down 5 rows fine (in addition to it showing the first four rows), but as soon as you're at the point where the next row should come it crashes. I have an iPad air with latest operating system.

The Book lists [sic] button I'm referring to is not within Book List. It's the actual Book List menu item at the far left of the bottom of the screen. As soon as I tap it, the app closes. The app doesn't allow me to view anything in Book List anymore; it closes immediately after I tap Book List. I wasn't having this problem before the update to v. 2.67.

As for this issue not being similar to what others are experiencing, I posted my response in the forum where it seemed most appropriate, based on my limited experience with iGigBook (I downloaded the app less than two weeks ago). If I need to respond elsewhere in the forum, please let me know.

jazzbug, domc100:

First double tap the home key and flick the app up to remove it. Go to the settings app, scroll down until you see the iGigBook icon. Select it and on the right scroll down until you see the option "Show Book List As Icons" turn that off.

Prior to doing what is recommended above, you could try scrolling slowly so that the icons can be generated. If it's always stopping at the same point there may be an issue with the first page of one of your PDFs, perhaps for one of the custom indexes you have.

Phil, thanks for offering a solution to the issue I was experiencing (app closing after tapping Book List).

Before I read your solution post, I was playing with the other menu items to see how I could use the unindexed PDF scores I transferred or downloaded to My Scores. While I wasn't being systematic about it, i.e., I wasn't tapping Book List after accessing each of the other menu items, after tapping Set List Manager, enabling the My Scores button at the upper left, creating a new set list (I named it "test"), and adding a song--which in this case was one of the unindexed scores--I got curious and tapped on Book List, and voila! (or as my uncle likes to say, "vee-OH-la"), the Book List opened and as icons. I don't know which of these steps, if any, allowed me to access Book List again. I'm merely recounting my experience in case it's helpful to anyone dealing with the same issue.

So although I didn't employ your solution, I will keep it in mind if it happens again.
