Version 1.34

Post by SiteAdmin » Tue Jan 18, 2011 12:06 pm

What's been fixed:

Adjustment to zoom setting for initial PDF display. The full page was not displaying and in some cases you would not be able to see the last system of music or you would see half of it unless you zoomed. The zoom level has been corrected for the initial display of the page.

** My Scores display indicates number of scores.

In the Set List View, bookmarks now indicate which PDF file they are derived from.

Adjusted width of search bar in set list manager to conform with title search and composer search.
iGigBook - It's what the pros use.

Phil, can you make it so if the iPad is rotated 90 degrees the score can be read horizontally ( and not just vertically) It makes it bigger and then you just scroll down to see the lower half of the tune? Rob weaver

Brilliant app. I had trouble with this version shutting down immediately on starting the app but your fix in other thread worked immediately - thanks.

Not sure if this a "requests for the next version" thread, but can I ask for quicker/more direct title search when it's on a music page. I use iGigBook mainly at jam sessions and the most important thing is speed of getting to the next requested tune (no playlists for me i'm afraid). How about a tap on the page brings up a big (empty) search box to type in the next tune - that would save 2 or 3 presses all over the ipad screen (particularly the topleft "search results" back press) - just enough time to take a sip of beer before start the next intro (i am keyboard).

Hope that makes sense and v happy as it is !!

Hi Rob,

Personally, I'm not a big fan of half page viewing and half page turns as I'm use to looking at and scanning the whole page when I'm performing. I do realize that my wants and needs aren't the same as everyone else. I have been playing around with different variations on the landscape theme. There's was one fellow that was requesting two pages side by side when in landscape mode, (something that happens right now when you connect the iPad to an external VGA monitor) despite it being smaller in size, he felt that would be useful for him. Needless to say, I'm still trying to figure this out as there is more to it than just displaying half of the page, one has to consider how all the other navigation should work when this happens.

I have a question for you: Would you use this orientation in a performance situation?

Peter,

This is a great idea and I may replace the paging icon, the second icon from the block on the right with a popup list with a search box. It could possibly show up in the next version as it isn't that difficult to do.

When there is already text in the search field that you want to clear, the X to the right of the search box, will clear all of the text.

On your device, select the App Store icon which should have a red circle on it indicating that there are updates available. Once the App Store App opens, select the update tab which is the last one on the right on the bottom. You should see of a list of apps that have updates, if you don't see any apps, all of your apps are up to date including iGigBook.
