I reinstalled the app. (1.82)
put all the folder contents back.
removed new appstateplist-
i put the original appstateplist back.
then synced.

now all seems good.

too scared to go to 1.83 though.

I'll wait till your engineers fix this and put out a "safe" update

I am having the same issues that everybody else seems to be having. I can't follow the instructions given when linked to iTunes because my computer is an HP and the iTunes app won't show the left hand column mentioned in the instructions. Also, where do I find the documents folder? Can't back up info before app replacement.

How did you add content to iGigBook, did you just use the "Open In" and/or direct URL download methods?

Hello,

I just installed Version. 1.83. The app starts to open but closes. I removed AppState.plist per instructions. No change.

The instructions for uninstalling and reinstalling the app are unclear regarding "Copy the contents of iGigBook Documents folder from your computer to your device"; that is, from where on my computer? I'm on a PC. As I understand, I cannot access the backup, I can only restore it. If I uninstall the app, I do not know whether the iGigbook app icon and documents folder will still appear in iTunes, allowing me to copy the properly named .pdf files back to the iPad.

You first have to copy the contents of the iGigBook documents folder to your computer otherwise when you uninstall the app you lose all of the charts that you added to the device. The folder on your computer that you copied the files to, which you can name whatever you want is the folder that you use to restore the contents of the iGigBook documents folder on the device. If you have added content to your device using iTunes you already know how to add content to the iGigBook Documents folder, backing up that folder would be the reverse and restoring it the reverse of that.

I now have version 1.83 up and running I am disappointed the the Gig set function still does not correct the page turn problem. It is fine for single pages but useless for multiple pages as the page turn is far to slow and must be immediate to be of any use. An arrangement that goes back to sign then to coda would be impossible to play. Is it possible to correct this? Ian Ballantine

Problems with page turns being slow is more than likely due to the size of the pages in your PDF. If your pages are large i.e. the image is large and/or has a DPI greater than 300, page turns are going to be slow since that PDF isn't optimized for use on an iPad.

App won't open

When i open igigbook, it closes immediately. Why is this happening.
