Me and my gigging friends have been using Igigbook for many years now on jazz gigs and jam sessions. One of the features of us using this app, on jam sessions particularly, is competing on how fast we can get to the next number when it's called. I am keyboard, and the bass player also almost always using the app. Front line may have the app but there is always someone (Luddite) using the anti-technology option and taking great pleasure if they can get to the page in one of their voluminous books before one of us on a tablet. This might be the case one time in ten, particularly if the offsets are a problem (some books worse than others

and mostly we haven't been bothered to put in blank pages etc- less of a problem now that the processors are faster and can flip through 7-10 pages quickly, but a pain on earlier iPads. Also, the issue of multiple versions of popular numbers (love for sale etc) with different changes and different keys - bass player and I good at checking but there have been disasters! The "shaming" and taunting if you are caught out! - worst for me as usually called on to bring in the tune with intro. Of course I always have my smartphone with a certain other (chord only) app ready to go just in case!
(I did post a few years ago about faster tune changing and Phil said he was considering faster method, with icon etc - but actually might be too easy to 'win' now if it's any easier
Anyway I thought I would share this - we have had such great experience and fun with this app-Phil you are our hero in this particular patch of uk.
