Updated to the latest version (2.66). Opened the app for about 2 mins and viewed some charts from the Jazz Chord Charts - Transpose list. I flipped through a couple of charts for about 30 seconds. Then...the app crashed again as I stopped to view a chart.

I wouldn't expect this version to address the issue of the app mysteriously closing. We're not claiming that we're addressing this issue.

After much testing with various devices, I have yet to experience the app closing while a chart was displayed, iPad 2, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, Wifi on/off, Background App Refresh Enabled/Disabled. Devices have run out of power first, so this leads me to believe that this has something to do with iOS 8 and certain specific settings you may and others may have. On two of the devices I have "Reset All Settings" in an attempt to reproduce the "out of the" configuration of the device and what I described above are the results of that. This may work for you or it may not, I don't really know, but I do know that iOS 8 has and possibly continues to have many problems. I wish there was more I could give you on this, but this is what I have.

Updated iOS to 8.2. It might be too early to confirm, but the iGigBook iPad app seems more stable. So far no crashes and I have switched it on and off several times. Fingers crossed...

It is much more stable now after all recent updates on iGig and iPad. Nevertheless, it rarely crashes, definitively more often than other apps, e.g. iRealB I mainly use now, runs steadily.

Thanks for the report, what would help us at this point is for you to describe what you mean by "crashes", meaning is it a situation where the app closes without any interaction on your part or is it a situation where you do "A" or "B" and then the app "crashes"?

Thanks for reporting back, hopefully this issue will be cleared up.

"Crashes" for me means I'm looking at iGigBook in one instant and then the next instant I'm looking at my home screen. Just like that, blink of an eye or less, iGigBook is just gone from my sight.

I've updated to iOS 8.2. I can say that I have had only one crash since then. As to the details when it occurred, I was in Set List Manager and about to start making my set list for that night's gig when I didn't see iGigBook Set List Manager anymore; I was looking at a bunch of home screen icons. Put my finger to the sensor, then opened iGigBook, selected Set List Manager. Right at that moment, somebody else started talking to me. I looked up, we exchanged whatever we had to say; I looked down and at that instant the Set List Manager screen just kind of winked out.

Regarding your above comment "this leads me to believe that [crashes have] something to do with iOS 8 and certain specific settings you may and others may have," can you elaborate on what "certain specific settings" these are that we should be looking at and comparing notes on here?

Thank you in advance for your response.

If you are not viewing a PDF page, the app will time out based upon your Auto-Lock setting which is normal. When viewing a PDF page it should remain on the screen.

IGig runs stable now after all the recent updates on IOS and iGig on my iPad 2 and iPad 4.
Thank you for your efforts, iGig is worth it.
Sincerely, Axel
