To put it simply, I wish to insert a song directly into the middle an existing set.

I wish to have found that song from the search function on the set list creator, select it, select the spot for it and hit a button.

Yes, it would be easier to select the insertion point for a song from a search but I think moving the item from the bottom is a lot less work than what you're currently doing.

I thought you were asking for multiple search results to be added in the same way that the entire work space can be added but I see now that you're just talking about inserting a single item, hence my response to you. The overhaul we're doing will allow you to insert but I still think moving the item to me is more efficient than what you're currently doing.

Well I'm glad we have come to an understanding of the wish and the capability.

I've learned more about the set list manager since this thread started and made some progress (though not inserting a single from a search.... Yet ;) ). I didn't fully understand that the "add results" button intends to add ALL of the current contents of the workspace..... Now that I do I use the "Full-book" set to double-tap-add songs into the work space in set order, then add-results into a new set. This is quicker than any other way to make a set although requires the entire book to be in a FULL-SET to begin with.

I'm gonna add a wish list entry: it'd be handy to always have all books available as sets in the lower left set list manager.... When selected, the lower right set list manager populates with all the titles. Then one could double-tap-add single songs up into the workspace to create a set from an alphabetical listing. If every book was there by default (in addition to whatever sets one creates) then I wouldn't have to create the full-book-setlist as a source. The program "knows" all the books by index. After all songs are in the workspace, the Add-results could throw them into an existing set or new set.

In any case, great program. Well worth the bread and learning curve.
