iPad Apple iCloud backup via iTunes

Post by Scot Larsen » Tue Mar 07, 2017 2:10 pm

When you do a backup (or when automatically configured to do so) of your iPad to Apple iCloud does all of your content (charts, pdfs, fake books, etc.) also get backed up to the cloud? In other words, would I be able to do a restore of everything to a new iPad in the event my current one gets lost, stolen or broken. Currently I'm doing the iCloud backup but also go in to the iGigBook app within iTunes and periodically do a manual backup of all my content in to a local folder on my Mac. Thanks in advance for your help.

iGigBook doesn't specifically back anything up to iCloud and we recommend you keep a local copy of the iGigBook Documents folder. You can test to see if iCloud backs up the content, an iTunes backup of your device does backup the iGigBook Documents folder.

Thanks, Paul. I don't think I'm that motivated to find out. Just wondering if anyone already knew. Making local backups of the content works for me.
