Prioritizing books

Post by Scot Larsen » Wed Apr 19, 2017 12:07 pm

Is there any way to set a priority on books so that when I do a search for songs or composers the content in my preferred books appear in the top of the search list? E.g., If I have a dozen books with the song "Autumn Leaves" but always want the one from the Classic Real Book to appear at the top of the list of search results?

Try searching from the book you want to see the results from using the Book List view.

Thanks, Phil. That works great if I know the desired tune is in a specific book. What I'd like to accomplish though is to be able to search for a tune where I'm not sure which book it is in and have the ability to automatically order the results in the search results based on the priority I give each book so that the books I prefer show up on the top of the list. Maybe this is something more suitable for the feature request forum.

It also works when you don't know if the song you're looking for is in the book you prefer, but I understand that you are asking for something more elaborate which iGigBook currently does not have.

Ah, right - I get what you mean how the titles not in the current book show up in red. Thanks, Phil. I really love igigbook. The new metronome feature is great.
