Help! Missing Indexes and "active" problems

Post by Beervangelist » Sun Jul 16, 2017 7:44 am

I am on a new IPad, and have almost successfully moved all of my books to my new machine.

I have the files in ITunes file sharing, but besides the survivable shift of losing some set lists, I just noticed I have several indexes that are not showing on my book list, and instead are residing in "My scores" - un-indexed.

I have checked their file names, and checked that they're active on the content manager. THey don't show up as not-linked, they just don't show up at all.

It's several books, which I'm listing, just in case it helps any forensics.
Examples - jazzltd, jfakebk, ulpoprock, realrockb1, realrockbk2, rnbfakebk, rwlpfkbk, "The Book"

Any advice?

This has also happened with a newly loaded book, (Firehouse - fjfakebk .

A short follow up post here -

I have also held down on the file in "My Scores" and tried to link to index. (Love this new feature!)

However this is where I think I have an "active" problem, because the books aren't in that drop down, even though theyr'e selected as "active " in the content manager.

To have your device reflect the indexes you have marked as active you must sync with the iGigBook Server. How do you do that? You use the icon at the top of the Book List view that looks like two curved arrows.

Thanks for responding!

I have synced with the server.

There are still several books not showing in my list.

There are a few books showing that have not been linked to a PDF. I was able to upload one of them, and it indexed properly. However, FIre House Jazz, which is showing on the IPad as an available list, does not show up in the link drop down, nor does it sync with the proper file name.

THanks for any assistance you can provide!

Even though you are logged into the app, the first screen shot indicates that your Book List view is populated with indexes from the Guest account. Second item on the top says GUEST MODE ACTIVE.

Double tap the Home key and swipe all apps up.

Run iGigBook and press the sync button and you should be all set.

Awesome - thanks so much for the help!

It added all of the missing books. There's still something wrong with Firehouse, but I'm thinking I might have something wrong with the file, and it'll be a minute before I can get back to my computer to address it.

I love the app and really appreciate your attention to helping us get the most out of it!

We also accomplished this while the iPad was hurtling through the air at 30,000 feet, which is downright impressive.

Thanks again and I'll let you know if I figure out what's up with Firehouse Jazz.

Cheers,

Fred

On top of the initial guest-mode problems, Firehouse Jazz Book was a corrupt file.

I think I'm back on track. Thanks again for your generous support!

Igigbook for life.

Cheers -
