Ipad 2017 Crash

Post by michaeltdrost » Tue Jun 18, 2019 2:52 pm

Hello,

I was just editing some iGigbook setlists and now my app will not open. It crashes every time I try to open. All software updates have been applied.

It would be helpful to know what the last edit was prior to you experiencing this problem.

Try deleting the appstate.plist file from the iGigBook documents folder using iTunes File Sharing: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201301

That didn't seem to help.

I was adding and deleting pdfs in the setlist manager.

I was importing irealpro pdfs as well.

Any more ideas? Thanks, Phil

Explain what you mean...Are you saying after removing the AppState.plist file you were able to open the app? Did you double tap the home key and swipe all apps up prior to deleting the appstate.plist file? Again it would be helpful to know what edits you were making i.e. if you try to change the name of something, what were you trying to change it to?

After removing the AppState.plist I was not able to open the app. I did the appstate.plist removal from a powerup. No apps were open. I was changing the name of one set "Take Three" to "the New Standard". Now it won't open. Never had this issue.

I hope this helps.

Double tapping the home key and swiping all apps up followed by removing the appstate.plist file and then running iGigBook should result in the app opening. If not, you're going to need to uninstall which means you need to back up the contents of the iGigBook Documents folder because uninstalling deletes all of the content from the app.

That did it. Thanks. Have a great night. Off to my gig.
