Newbie - several questions

Post by reidster » Wed Mar 20, 2013 4:29 pm

Hello all. I like to think I'm not this technically challenged...but I'm just not getting a few things with i Gig Book and wondering if any of you kind folks can help a brother out:

1. I loaded a pdf onto my iPad (so it's now in "My Scores") that has a misspelling. I'd like to delete it from My Scores. How the heck does one do this? I can't seem to figure that out through iTunes or the iPad itself.

2. A deeper question: I was kind of under the assumption that I would create a Book (like my band's name) and then load My Scores into that Book. Is that not right?

3. Along with that question: So the Book List indexes that are pre-loaded with the app - there is music online that you can go grab and download into those Books? And perhaps that's why you don't create your own? Very confusing to me.

4. Does anyone else find the "Six Easy Steps" to be about the most complicated steps you've ever read? I'm lost after #3...I do understand #1 and #2...I think.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

This is covered here:

Typically one has individual scores (PDF files of 1,2 or more pages), books that we index, or any combination of the two. Creating a book implies you have a means of taking separate PDF files and combining them to create one PDF file. If you did that you could create a custom index to access each of the song titles in this "compilation". The best thing to do is to read through the How To section of the forum while pondering what it is you actually want to do.
3. Along with that question: So the Book List indexes that are pre-loaded with the app - there is music online that you can go grab and download into those Books? And perhaps that's why you don't create your own? Very confusing to me.
The index is exactly what it is, an index, you need to provide the book that matches the index.
4. Does anyone else find the "Six Easy Steps" to be about the most complicated steps you've ever read? I'm lost after #3...I do understand #1 and #2...I think.

If you don't have the PDF files to any of the books indexed, then yes the Six Easy Steps For iGigBook Success aren't going to make sense to you because you do not have the essential ingredient, the PDF files that correspond to the indexes that we provide.
