How can I get the older version of iGig book? I think it's 1.87 that allows airturn to work with it. Itunes gave me the most recent version that works with a first gen iPad but my airturn doesn't work with it.

You have version 1.95 which should work, but you can only turn pages with the pedal while viewing a PDF from the Gig Set Viewer.

I added a song to my set list ("A Child is Born" from classic Real Vocal Book). According to your post elsewhere this will give me access to the entire PDF of the Vocal Book. It does that and I am a viewing it in the gig set viewer. The pages still don't turn with airturn. What to do now????

You can double check to see if the pedal is in a mode where its sending up and down arrow keys which is what iGigBook is looking for.

The default mode is 3 (iPad mode) which is: Port 1 Up Arrow, Port 3 Down Arrow
Port 2 Left Arrow, Port 4 Right Arrow

This mode is working fine with ForScore but not with iGig Book so I changed to Mode 1 (PC/MAC Mode) which is as follows: Port 1 PgUp, Port 3 PgDn
Port 2 Left Arrow, Port 4 Right Arrow

Mode 1 did not work. There are only two other modes on the Airturn: Mode 2 - Port 1 1, Port 3 3
Port 2 2, Port 4 4

Mode 4 - Port 1 ~1, Port 3 ~3
Port 2 ~2, Port 4 ~4 (Mode 4 requires a cable splitter)
I didn't try these modes because there aren't any arrows associated with them. Should I?

Your thoughts on what to try next? Thanks.

Go to the Settings app on your device and scroll down until you see iGigBook, select it and you will see on the right a series of options. One of the options sections is titled "Bluetooth Pedals" and it has setting named "Enable", is this On or Off?

Yes, the pedal is enabled in settings. And the version is 1.95

I'll test this with a 1st Gen iPad and version 1.95 with a bluetooth keyboard a little later today and should have an answer early tomorrow.

I have confirmed this is not working with version 1.95 and unfortunately there isn't anything we can do since you have the last version that works with iOS 5 the highest version a 1st Gen iPad can be updated to. iOS 7 offers a direct way to detect key press events from a bluetooth device which enables the current version of the app to operate more consistently with bluetooth foot pedals.

Thank you for testing this. One day - not sure when- I will upgrade to a newer iPad.
