Set list transfer from iPad Air to iPhone 5s

Post by evnoic » Tue Jan 28, 2014 11:07 am

I am having trouble transferring set lists from my iPad to iPhone. I have managed 3 out of five eventually. Initially I was unable to transfer any set list. I have deleted the app from my iPhone, reinstalled it and then couldn't sync the transposable Jazz and Holiday charts. I deleted the app again and thankfully was able to sync and download the charts. I think the iPhone app has become buggy, probably since the recent update. Can you fix please.

I may have found a workaround. I renamed the remaining 2 set lists and was able to transfer them from my iPad to my iPhone. I still think there is a problem here which needs addressing. Hopefully ASAP.

I wouldn't uninstall and reinstall the app unless specifically told to do so since it doesn't fix every problem.

If you use the Set List Sharing feature to send the set list by email it will not work on either device if you already have a set with the same name.

What mechanism did you use to transfer the set lists? If you're using the Set List Sharing feature that does not seem to be working with iGigBook Mobile which we'll fix with the next update. The feature works sending from an iPhone/iPod to an iPad but not the other way around.

A workaround that has been tested and works is the following:

Use the Set List Sharing feature to email the set with the .igbset file. Select open in iGigBook Mobile on the iPhone, the set won't appear in your list of sets. Go to the set list manager and add a new set. For the name provide the name of the set you shared and that should activate the imported set list.

After further review, this feature seems to work fine if the iGigBook Mobile app is suspended on the the device but does not work if the app has not been launched.
