Determining Book Index Name when Searching

Post by franklinwade » Tue Feb 10, 2015 8:56 am

When I am searching for a song that happens to be in one of the 3 Classic Real Books, I am unable to determine at a glance which index the song is in. In song search, it only displays part of the book name "Classic Real Book..." so I don't which book it is in. Even if I tap the song to view it, the title says for example "Page 14 - Classic Real Book..."

Is there a way to view the full index name for a particular song in "Song Search" or Find Composers"?

I have an iPhone 5S.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to do that, though in the case of the Classic Real Book, ellipses(...) indicate it's either Vol II or Vol III.

As a partial workaround, I just added the book name to the top of each page of the PDF (add header in Acrobat), so when viewing the tune I can now see the book name.
