No Apostrophe on keyboad for Search Search

Post by batkins64 » Mon Jan 30, 2017 12:56 am

Hello,

I played a I have been using I Gig Book on my Ipad for over 6 months and never had many issues. However I had a gig Friday night and started a Song Search on I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face, I noticed that there is no apostrophe on the keyboard now. There used to be an apostrophe sign on the keyboard, I definitely remember using it often. Now anytime the first word used an contraction like I've or You've, I cannot search for the song.

So a search for "You've Changed" reveals no results, nor I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face doesn't reveal any results. A search on "I Can't Get Started" is OK because you put I Can and you can scroll alphabetically to I Can't Get Started or any other tune that start "I Can't" So this is a huge problem for me. What has happened to the keyboard on my Ipad for Song Search. Is this an Apple Ipad issue or is it a IGIG Book application issue?

Help is needed ASAP as I cannot find tunes that have the first word as a contraction!

If you press the [?123] key, you will have access to the apostrophe.

Personally I would use a different search strategy...

"I've Grown Accustomed To Her Face"

Searching for "Grown" or "Accu" zeros in on this song.

"You've Changed"

Searching for "Changed" or "ve Ch" zeros in on this song.
