Help Needed
Re: Help Needed
I do see the Digital Song Book on this list ...
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=9
But I don't see it on the my.igigbook.com that I'm supposed to turn on if I'm going about this the correct way now.
I think I just need a way to link the book and I'm finally done.

Re: Help Needed
Dude, it's right there.
You won't see an index for the Bb version because there isn't one. If the pages match the concert version exactly, as described above, then giving it the correct name will let you use the "change key" transposition mechanism. You'll need to check the file to see if the titles are all the same, and on the same page numbers. Or you can just try it... and it may work or may not.
Re: Help Needed
I see it there but when I click on the PDF in MY SCORES to link it, it's not there. I realize that there isn't a Bb version but why do I show the index turned on for the book and it doesn't show up on the iPad to link the index? (That book is not in "Select Index to Link.)
Good thing I don't do programming.

Try syncing once so that the index can be downloaded to your device.Stuberg wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 7:20 pmI see it there but when I click on the PDF in MY SCORES to link it, it's not there. Re: Help Needed
That worked!
Now I have the book showing up but the pages are way off. Like WAY off. And when I try to reset the offset, it doesn't change anything.
Perhaps I need to let my Mac and iPad rest tonight and try again tomorrow.
Sorry to be such a hassle. I'm sure this is some kind of user error as they say.

You should review this entire thread which already has the answers to your questions in addition to strategies for resolving the issue with this PDF.Stuberg wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 10:52 pmThat worked!

Question about this ...

And of course, you may just have the wrong offset. Setting the page offset is an important step. Phil's How-To posts describe this process. In a nutshell, here's what I do: 1. Open the book in the Book List to see its table of contents. 2. Click on the first entry, which is usually toward the front of the book. 3. If it's not the right page, flip backwards and forwards to find how many pages I'm off from the correct page. It's usually one or two pages plus or minus. That's the amount you need to adjust the offset. 4. Go back to the Book List, press and hold the book entry/icon, until the "set offset" dialogue pops up. This sometimes takes a few tries for some reason. 5. Adjust the number plus or minus the value you figured out. 6. Try again.

1. Deleted dssongbook.pdf from my iPad Pro.
2. Turned off the index at my.igigbook.com.
3. Turned index back on.
4. Reinstalled book.
5. Went to first song ... "After You" which took me to the Cover Page 1.
6. Did the four finger magic tap.
8. Offset reads "Enter the Page Number That Appears On The Music" which is Page 1. (It's the wrong page but it's what appears.)
9. Tried putting in various positive and negative numbers and things just seem to get more jumbled and in some cases even go to negative blank pages.
10. Any further ideas or is the PDF from the Publisher messed up?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated. If I need to go back to the Publisher, I can do that but since other books seem to work fine this seems like I'm still doing something wrong.

Re: Help Needed
Please disregard my last post.
I kept trying various OFFSET numbers and couldn't get it to work. Started the whole procedure from the beginning yet again and it worked. Have no idea why it didn't work the first times I tried it.
HOPEFULLY LAST QUESTION ...
Is there an easy way to change the index for this book so the titles read "Bb" so I can tell the difference between the "C" and "Bb"
versions? I have a feeling that it's possible but may be way over my head. I'm hoping there's a simple way to just append the "Bb" without building a whole new Bb index title by title.
If there is a 3-step formula, I'd love to try it.
Thanks again for all of your patience. I can live with what I have now but having the extra "Bb" after each song would be nice.
If I haven't said it before, this is a great app. I'm just not that sharp ... probably a bit flat if the truth were known.

Once again, this has already been answered in this thread and with that I will close this topic if you have a NEW topic meaning something not mentioned here, create that new topic and we will address it.Stuberg wrote: ↑Sun Nov 04, 2018 9:51 amPlease disregard my last post.
