Hi,
I have books that are not in the provided list (Great Gig Blue Book, 557 Jazz Standards... etc.)
Does anyone know how I could add them to my Igigbook?
I love this app, but this unflexability is its downfall.
BTW... I have the android version.
Thanks,
-Charlie

Check the list of Available Indexes, 557 Jazz Standards is there and the link explains how to get it on your device. An index doesn't exist for every possible PDF but you can Create Your Own Index

Re: Add a book not listed in pre-indexed list
Hi. Phil,
Thanks for the reply. I did see the 557... book listed, but my Igigbook doesn't detect it when I hit the refresh button. I renamed my book 557standrd.pdf in my Igigbook folder with all my other books. Tried the refresh button several times and tried rebooting the tablet. Is there a way to jump-start the process?
Thanks,
-Charlie

The first link I provided explains everything you need to do to get an index to show up in your Book List view. Review the first part of that link. Here it is again: Available Indexeschastao47 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2017 6:49 amHi. Phil,

Re: Add a book not listed in pre-indexed list
This is my first time creating an index for a pdf not previously indexed, and I have a few questions.
I see that viewtopic.php?f=22&t=7 gives most of the instructions, and they seem to work.
When creating a song title, I don't seem to be able to include the composer. Maybe I have to enter the list of all composers first, then pull down the menu each time?
Is there easier way to add songs to an index? With my slow Internet speed, it takes several minutes to add one song title.
Can I upload a CSV file, spreadsheet, text file, etc?
As a comparison, with ForScore on the iPad, I flip to the next page of the pdf, click once to create a bookmark, enter the title using a bluetooth keyboard, and done....on to the next page. To add the composer, it's just another field i type into when creating the bookmark. And I never have to leave the app to see what page number and title the next page has.
I'm not suggesting iGigBook work this way, but is there any faster method for adding song titles?
How do I read through the pdf to see index & preface pages, tell the title & page# of the next song is, etc? In the MyScores view, if I select the unindexed book and see the first page, I can use the 123 icon, then page through the pdf. How do I do that when selecting an already indexed book in the BookList view?
Thanks....

Re: Add a book not listed in pre-indexed list
You can create a list of Composers first, or you can enter the composer name when you enter the song title. The field to the left of the drop down list is a text box where you can enter the name of a new composer if it isn't in the list. This is my first time creating an index for a pdf not previously indexed, and I have a few questions.

You can use the Bulk Upload option in the Content Manager at http://my.igigbook.com.
You can do the same thing using iGigbook: How To Create, Import, and Manage BookmarksAs a comparison, with ForScore on the iPad, I flip to the next page of the pdf, click once to create a bookmark, enter the title using a bluetooth keyboard, and done....on to the next page. When you select an item from the Book List view navigation works the same as it does in My Scores. How do I read through the pdf to see index & preface pages, tell the title & page# of the next song is, etc? In the future create a new topic, your issue is different from the issue that the original poster had.
