iGigBook Version 2.54

Post by SiteAdmin »

Added One Book Mode To Gig Set Viewer - This setting allows you to move through an entire set by taping the bottom of the page or by using a wireless page turner.

Bug fixes
iGigBook - It's what the pros use.

I have downloaded this update but dont see how to use the new feature. "Tapping on the bottom of the page" takes me to the next page in the pdf book not in the set list.

What's the difference between Tapping the bottom of the page and tapping the lower 30%?

BTW: I love the app and have been using it on the bandstand with great success. Keep up the great work.

In the Settings App under iGigBook is a setting under GIG SET VIEWER called "One Book Mode" which is disabled by default. You have to enable this for the feature to work.

I enabled the One Book Mode. This feature does not work consistently. I loaded a set list of about a dozen tunes into the set viewer. Sometimes tapping on the bottom brought me to the next tune in the set list. But half the time tapping brought me to the next tune in the PDF.

The items that don't seem to work consistently are these items from My Scores? If they are from My Scores, are they bookmarks that you created? If yes, what did you set as the number of pages?

None of the songs in the set list are from My Scores, they are all songs from indexed books. Clicking on the song title in the set list always brings me to the correct song. Tapping on the bottom of the song brings me to the next song in the set list only about half the time.

Can you provide the names of the indexes where this happens?

Here's the set list, the indexes, and the detail of what happens when I tap. Success means it goes to the next song in the set list. Failure means it goes to the next song in the PDF. Behavior is consistent. When I do it again I get the same results every time.

Shadow of Your Smile - Jazz Chord Charts Tranpose. Success.
Our Love Is Here to Stay - Classic Real book Vol II Bb. Failure.
You'd Be So Nice to Come Home To - Volume 112 Cole Porter. Failure.
It Could Happen to You - Classic Real Book Vol II. Success.
It Had To Be You Bb - Classic Real Book Vol II Bb. Failure.
Blue Bossa - Classic Real Book. Failure.
Somewhere - Jazz Chord Charts Transpose. Success.
Night and Day - Volume 112 Cole Porter. Failure.
Summer Samba - Classic Real Book. Failure.
Don't Get Around Much Anymore - Classic Real Book. Failure.
Bluesette - Just Jazz Book. Two page tune. Failure after 2nd page.
Wave - Jazz Chord Charts Transpose. Success.
Sunny - Classic Real Book Volume III. Failure.
Pure Imagination - Classic Real Book Vol III. END OF SET

"Volume 112 Cole Porter" is probably an index that you uploaded yourself which means you'll have to go to the Content Manager and adjust the number of pages entry for the problem songs.

"It Could Happen To You" was erroneously marked as a two page song, when I tapped at the bottom it went to the next song in that book which is "It Had To Be You". "Our Love Is Here To Stay", had a similar problem, the page counts have been updated and it should work correctly now after you've synced with the server.

All of the other "failures" work fine for me with the "stock" indexes, sync with the server and let me know if you get the same results with the exception of the "Volume 112 Cole Porter" entries.
