Hi, I've tried to post questions elsewhere but almost all topics are locked(?)

I recently purchased iGigbook and am not able to sync my pdf books to the indexes. I followed the tutorial with the sample book, so I understand that the pdf books must be renamed. I had uploaded 11 common pdf books into iBooks on my iPad, as instructed by Apple support (if there is some other way that pdfs can be read on the iPad, I'm unaware of it)... I can't rename the pdf's in iBooks, and they're not showing up in the 'My Scores' view to rename there. Seems like this is the crux of syncing, yet there is scant clear, direct information that I can find to help this situation. Any help would be appreciated!

Topics are locked because you're supposed to create a new topic describing what your issue is.

Apple support can not help you with this app, they don't know anything about how it operates. Every app has it's own separate storage area that no other app can see. If you add your PDF files to iBooks, there's no way that iGigBook or any other app will see those PDF files. The following link describes all of the ways that you can add PDF files to iGigBook, that process is similar to the one you used for adding your PDF files to iBooks, you just have to select iGigBook as the app.

Thanks for replying. That's the thing- It's not clear how to open a new topic in the appropriate place. I must be missing something... Where is the post new topic button found?

I was able to add my pdf books and rename most using the "add" function in iTunes (no thanks to Apple support who told me the only way to transfer pdf's was through iBooks...) But I get it now– much appreciated!

As an aside, elsewhere on the blogsite, it instructs you to rename the pdfs BEFORE transferring to the device.
Does it matter which you take?

My new issue is that some of the pdf books I uploaded are not in the Book List index although I've renamed them (ex. jazz fake.pdf) in My Scores view, and have clicked the update button (which I believe is supposed to link to full current index)
I have 32 book indexes, which cover 6 of my 11 my pdf books. I read on this blog that to update the indexes you should go to www.my.igigbook.com and login. Can't login there using my same username and password for here, and there's no instruction on how to create a new account there. Somewhat frustrating and more complicated than I expected.

Some of my books are also not syncing properly, but I guess I can address that later.
Also, is there a correct name for the Real Book (volumes 1-3) 5th edition, or just 6th? I did't see the Hal Leonard fake book either.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Initially when you register for the app it creates a registration here and one for my.igigbook.com. This forum and my.igigbook.com are two different platforms which means if you use the reset password feature here, you wind up with two different passwords, one for this forum and one for my.igigbook.com. If you do not remember what your password is for my.igigbook.com you can use the lost password feature at http://www.igigbook.com to retrieve your password.

Refreshing my unindexed score hangs at 87% consistently on my iPad. I let it run for hours and it does not appear to complete. I have to shut the app down and restart to use it. Any solution?

Yes, you probably have a corrupted PDF. To locate which is the problem, you will have to remove all of the PDF files and then add them in blocks of 10, each time refreshing the My Scores view until you encounter which group of ten causes the hang. You can then find the offending one by adding them 1 by 1 from the group of 10 that caused the crash.
