Wow, that is great news. I was picturing something much later in the year.Phil Smith wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 2:10 pmAn update with zoom capability should be available some time this weekend.
Thanks for V 0.4 Phil.Phil Smith wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 9:47 am
Thanks for that info...
Looking at other apps, in particular the top seller in the Music category on iOS... It does render the writing faster, unfortunately the end result doesn't look like my handwriting. We're still refining though.
Thanks for that. I see what was happening. My issue is with charts that already have notes. On those charts, clicking the icon after the pencil just hides the notes. On those ones I have to press and hold my original note to get the text notes window to appear. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.Phil Smith wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2019 4:11 pmText notes are still there, next icon after the pencil on all PDF views.jslo1234 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2019 3:12 pmSeems like a nice feature. It should help for making directional markings on scores, although a compatible pen looks to be a necessity, as the finger writing is really pretty messy and clunky from what I've tried. Also, am I missing something, or has the previous ability to type notes been removed now? If so, that's a downgrade to go with the upgrade. Please tell me I'm wrong and point me to where I can use that feature again, which I used very often before, for instance to type chord substitutions in a neat and readable manner.
Again thanks Phil. V 6.0.6. made it for me. Everything perfect now! Writing has become quite natural, i couldn't imagine it to be better.JazzNote wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2019 4:46 amThanks for V 0.4 Phil.Phil Smith wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 9:47 am

I wouldn't really mind the result NOT looking like my handwriting as long as it's possible to read it clearly.
The "rendering speed" of some other apps (e.g. for score) feels quite natural in sync with my writing speed. At rehearsals when taking notes i'm usually a bit under time pressure to get it all and having to write particularly slow makes it hard to keep track of what's going on in the further discussion of the arrangement etc.
Yes we did remove those to make way for a bunch of musical symbols. Among those symbols are left and right arrows but not the "pretty little hand icons".PeterWeddingPianist wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2019 3:48 pmHi Phil et al,
I'm really happy with the previous version of igigbook- can't really find much use for the writing tool in ver. 6 that other editing tool in the app can already do.
What I do miss though are the pretty little hand icons - left and right - remember those? ? And his pal ?. So handy for page turns. They disappeared a few versions back..shame! Any chance of getting them back? I for one would be a very happy bunny!
