Logging out

Post by Markk Darkk »

So I'm looking at "Indexed books" on my iPad. I tap the third button from the left at the top of that screen, the one that is a picture of a silhouette.

That takes me to a screen that says "iGigBook - Currently Logged In" and there are a half a dozen blank fields with three buttons reading "GUEST MODE," "REGISTER (which button is grayed out)," and "CANCEL."

I'm not screaming with the caps. That's the way the text on the buttons appears.

My questions are these:

1) After I registered my iGigBook, I never logged out or in again. Does one ever log out?

2) Should one log out?

3) If so, how? Or

4) Suppose I just felt cheeky and mean and wanted to log out. Can I?

5) How would I?

Thank you in advance for answering these questions.

"Guest Mode" = Logged out.

Why would you log out? Let's say you activate some indexes either ones you've created or ones we have provided and you use the pdf download feature from the Book List view. This feature downloads a PDF based on a URL that you provide it and automatically names the downloaded PDF to the book code required for that index. Suppose you downloaded the wrong PDF? One way to remedy that is to select "Guest Mode", which logs you out of the app. Sync to replace the list of indexes that you have curated with the list seen by guests or people that aren't logged in. Doing this enables you to see PDF files that you wouldn't normally see in My Scores. My Scores only shows PDF files that are not indexed. You would have to refresh the My Scores view to expose the file that you want to delete, by pressing and holding on it's name and then completely erasing that name and selecting "Okay".

Thank you for the reply. The reply, though, prompts other several more questions that I suspect would better be asked as a different topic. Thanks again.
