When you renamed the PDF to nrealbk1d.pdf it is then linked to the index "The New Real Book (Digital Edition)", that item is now accessible from the Book List view, meaning when you go to the Book List view and select "The New Real Book (Digital Edition)" and then select one of the songs, "Autumn Leaves" for example, it displays the page for "Autumn Leaves". Did you do this?

The My Scores view has a refresh button at the top left, it's the first button at the top left of the view. Whenever you add PDF files to your device you will need to refresh that view. iGigBook does this automatically when there are a small number of files in My Scores, once you get to over 50 files, you have to manually refresh because it could take some time for the refresh to complete.

I did both of those things without any visible results. It finally worked for me when I completely restarted my iPad. All of a sudden the new book (New Real Book Digital Edition) appeared, with songs populated, in my Book List. I was then able to access songs.

This happened despite the fact that I could never see the title New Real Book Digital Edition in the popup list of indexes from which to choose. I was offered two completely unrelated titles in the list, but not the one I wanted. I never was able to (deliberately) assign the new PDF to the appropriate index. However, it seems to have done so on its own.

Hopefully, the next time I download and install a PDF it will work more predictably. Thanks for the reply.

If you rename the PDF (to nrealbk1d.pdf) and add it to your device, you're not going to see it in the pop up list from the File Action Menu because the moment that file with that name is present and the index is present, they are linked, no other action is required. If on the other hand, you had a file named "New Real Book I Digital Edition.pdf" and no PDF was named nrealbk1d.pdf, you would see in the Link To Index menu, "The New Real Book (Digital Edition)".

If you haven't already done so, work through the New User Super Simple Index Tutorial.
