IOS v4.9
I have a set with numerous tunes.
In the set list manager I select the set.
The songs show on the lower right.
I search a new tune and it appears in the workspace along with a few other search results.
I tap the new song from search results, tap a song in the lower right set(as an insert point), then tap add results.
Nothing happens...the new song is not added..let alone inserted above the selected set list tune.
The add results button doesn't seem to do anything ever......I can select add song and have it appended to the end of the set, but how do i insert it?
I've already read the set list manager tutorial page with areas 1,2,and 3....those instructions dont work
Add results / insert not behaving as expected
Re: Add results / insert not behaving as expected
Ok....after fiddling I discovered that add results only adds a song from a different set, not from a search. So i basically have to have a dummy set full of all the songs In a book......right? Otherwise, to use search results I have to add song to the bottom then drag into place...right?
It'd be nice if search results within the set manager could be "add results"ed into an insert point the same way as from other set list material.

The results area is for situations where you already have various sets and you want to create a new set consisting of songs from those sets. A real world example would be you're doing one set of music with an artist on Thursday, a slightly different set with many of the same tunes on Friday and a slightly different set on Saturday. It's really convenient to use the Thursday set as a basis for the set you're going to do on Friday and Saturday and this is why you would use the results area. Also many musicians will create a large set which could consist of all the songs a group would possibly do (think of it as the book for the group) and use that set as a basis for "performance" sets consisting of a subset of the "group binder".jazaddict wrote:Ok....after fiddling I discovered that add results only adds a song from a different set, not from a search. Re: Add results / insert not behaving as expected
Thank you, I get it now.
I still think adding search results not already in a set into the middle of the set makes perfect sense.
Still love the app, just sayin....
