Convert Kindle Real Book to PDF

Hi all
I just bought the Kindle version of The Real Book Vol IV - Bb with the intention of converting it to PDF for use in iGigBook. However, I'm having all sorts of issues with the titles and tempo/style headers not being on the same page as the actual music when converting to PDF.

Does anyone have experience with successfully converting Kindle AZW files to PDF? I could manually fix every title and tempo/style header using Adobe Acrobat but it'll take forever.

Cheers
Gary

From what I've seen the Kindle offerings often times do not match the physical book and the indexes are built off of the physical book. For all the tweaking you need to do you might be better of scanning the physical book especially if you have access to a sheet feed scanner.

Hmm, my Kindle book was identical to the hardcopy scans of the Vol IV C and Eb versions except for the contents pages at the front, which were easily changed. I ended up using the Calibre application to convert the AZW file to PDF and whilst there were conversion issues that needed to be corrected manually, at least the job is done now.

As a test, I tried to convert a Kindle book to PDF using the Calibre application to convert the AZW file to PDF. Has anyone been successful? When doing so, I kept on being prompted for serial number for my Kindle even though I downloaded the book locally to my MAC. Any help with this would be most appreciated. I really like the idea of the iGigBook App but right now it is 100% useless if I can not get convert Kindle PDF. I've been unlucky in finding a source to purchase fake books in PDF. Again, any help with this would be most appreciated.
