Real Book on New iPad problem

Post by avilla » Sun Jan 26, 2020 1:08 am

I have had Real Books 1, 2 and 3 on an older iPad for years (I purchased and still own the legit Real Book CD Roms). I just purchased a new iPad (7th gen). The set up process for the iPad moved the RB books to my new iPad but the pagination was wrong. I worked through iGig instructions. RB II and III are working properly but RB 1 shows no music at all.

I have tried loading the files directly from the CD Roms, following iGig instructions, but despite several attempts, have been unsuccessful. Anyone have any suggestions. Thank you.

I see a Real Book I but if I select a score title, the page is blank. All the scores are on the iPad (ex: 000860.pdf) but they are listed as "Unindexed scores". As I mentioned, Real Books II and III got transferred without a problem. All RB II and III scores are viewable/useable. My apologies if I'm doing something stupid.

Those CD ROMs contain individual files for each song. We have a How To that outlines how to combine those individual files into a single file so they can be linked to an index. You are implying you completed a process on an older iPad and the How To I provided earlier shows you how to copy those files to a new device. You haven’t indicated whether you followed that how to or not. If you didn’t I would do it.
