I can upload sets from igigbook to iCloud without a problem, but when it comes to uploading complete books (loaded and named into a set), I cannot get this to work.
I'm in the process of putting all my sheets on to iCloud and so far, nearly 1800 sheets have been uploaded successfully.
However, when it come to uploading a complete book of songs, it simply won't work. Is it me or is this an inherent failing within igigbook/iCloud?

Explain what you mean by "complete book of songs".PeterWeddingPianist wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 9:28 amI can upload sets from igigbook to iCloud without a problem, but when it comes to uploading complete books (loaded and named into a set), I cannot get this to work.

Re: Uploading complete books to iCloud
Hi Phil,
Thanks for your reply. OK, here's what I want to do: I have a song book in my unindexed scores called 'Nat King Cole Songbook'.
It's 104 pages long. That's what I mean by a complete book of songs.
In Set Manager I make a new set called, 'Nat King Cole Songbook'. I then search for this amongst my unindexed scores and having found it, I 'Add Song' to my new set list. All good...so far.
Then I go into Set View and see the Nat Cole Songbook set is in there....great! So I click on the upload icon at the top of the page.
Igigbook then pauses, then crashes. I re-open igigbook and try again. The same thing happens.....over and over.
As I said in my previous message, no problem uploading individual songs that I have loaded one at a time into Set Manager...
When I click on the upload icon, I get asked where I want to upload the set to and I choose iCloud which in turn asks me to choose a folder for the uploaded songs. I rename the file and everything is fine. Not so when trying to upload a Songbook or complete album.
Am I stuck with this problem? Do I have to laboriously load each song from the Nat Cole Book individually, perhaps?
All I want to do is keep my precious library on iCloud in case of total failure of my iPad which is pretty elderly now.
Any help would be much appreciated, as always.

Re: Uploading complete books to iCloud
The app is not designed with this in mind, meaning exporting large PDF files with 50 or more pages was not something the app was designed to do in addition to limits with the iOS device itself which is why you are experiencing problems.

Thanks Phil, I have all the Real Books, etc. stored on CD, so all is not lost. It's just the older I get, the more nervous I become about maybe losing stuff!, which is why I have most of my scores on iCloud Drive.
Thanks again,
Peter.

I would store the files on a flash drive as opposed to a CD which can deteriorate over time.PeterWeddingPianist wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 6:12 pmThanks Phil, I have all the Real Books, etc. stored on CD, so all is not lost.
