iPad no longer compatible

Hi,

Hoping for some help,here.

I’ve been using iGigBook for years. I love it. I upgraded to an iPad Pro recently - primarily for iGigBook. It’s been brilliant. But I was hoping to use my old 2nd gen iPad for the bass player. But the app was deleted somehow - all the other apps are still there. And when I went to purchase another version it said “this version 7 is no longer compatible with this iPad”. But it was fine prior to me upgrading. Does my one have a solution to this problem? I’m figuring I’m not alone. I want to move away from paper and use iGigBook for all band members.

Cheers
Dorian

We don't have control over what apps appear on your device, including iGigBook, only Apple can help you with that. Starting with iGigBook version 7, a device needs to run iOS 11 or greater. That excludes the iPad 2nd generation. Version 6.5 the last version that will run on an iPad 4, 3 or 2 but you will have to contact Apple as to how to accomplish purchasing of this "last compatible device version" as there doesn't seem to be clear information on exactly how to do it.

Okay thanks kindly for the quick reply, Phil. If I have any luck with Apple (I doubt it) I’ll share this information with the forum so it might help someone else but I’m sure you’ve been down this road before.

Cheers
