Transfer Files Between Your Computer And Your iPad/iPhone - Apple Guides

Using iTunes is a quick and efficient way of getting multiple PDF files into the iGigBook app. Apple has created an interface specifically to handle the task of transferring files to and from an app such as iGigBook and your computer. You can this interface to copy files to iGigBook and to back up all of the files within iGigBook. If you're using macOS Catalina, you can use the Finder to share files between your iOS and iPadOS devices and your Mac.

In the My Scores view select the second item from the top left to display the iOS Document Picker so that you can select a document provider which can be Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive and others. For Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive, you will need to have those apps on your device. The iOS Document Picker displays when you press and hold an item from the Book List view not linked to an index.

Adding files from an email or a website

When you open a PDF file from an email attachment or from a website, you have the option to open that file using iGigBook. When the PDF is in preview mode the upper right hand part of the screen has a button titled "Open In...". Select "Open In..." and then select IGigBook from the list of applications displayed. If you do not see iGigBook in this list, scroll down to reveal more apps. If after scrolling you still do not see iGigBook, you will need to remove other apps that also process PDF files because there is a limit to the number of applications that will appear in this list.

If you do not see the "Open In..." button, tap on the document and it should appear. When iGigBook is selected the preview will launch iGigBook and you will be taken to the My Scores section of the app and the PDF will be displayed.

Creating a PDF file from the My Scores view

In the My Scores view select the icon at the top left that looks like a piece of paper with a dog ear at the top. The resulting menu allows you to do the following:
  1. Create a blank PDF page
  2. Create a Blank Chord Chart PDF page
  3. Create a blank Staff PDF page
  4. Create a PDF by combining existing PDF files.
Renaming/Deleting files from the My Scores view

Press and hold an item in the My Scores view to display the file action menu, select Rename, to change the file name or Delete, to permanently erase the file from your device.

If you completely erase the file name from the rename dialogue and press "Okay", that entry will be deleted from the list and from your device permanently.

The first time you launch the iGigBook app on your Android device, it creates a folder named "igigbook". You can create a folder named "igigbook" prior to running the app for the first time and iGigBook will use that folder.

We recommend that you create the "igigbook" folder yourself on your tablet prior to running iGigBook the first time. Additionally, before connecting your tablet to your computer, you should power the tablet down and then power it back up so that all of the folders contained in Internal Storage are visible.

If you have already launched the iGigBook app, a folder named "igigbook" will appear here. If you haven't launched the app, create a new folder and name it "igigbook" and copy your PDF files to this folder.

If migrating from an iPad, you can take all of the content from the iPad or iPhone and copy that content to the folder named "igigbook". Any sets and bookmarks you have created will be recognized on the Android device.
