Purchase Again?

My iphone 5s died last week and during a 92 minute tech support call, I discovered that the the Apple id I purchased igig mobile with never existed.
Unsurprisingly, with my new iphone and my original Apple id restored, I have to purchase the app again. I bring this problem up purely as a matter of principle. Can anything be rectified from your end?

There isn't much we can do. Apple handles all of the financial aspects of the sale meaning that they have your credit card info and id in which you used to purchase the item.
