Not connecting

Post by AndrewM »

Can anyone advise as to why Pager and iGigBook won't connect? Pager's on iPhone11 and iGigbook's on iPad Pro. BLE is on (iPad), Bluetooth's are on but not connected (they don't even see each other anyway). Both OS versions are up to date on both. The unique connection ID is a mystery as I can set it to what I like on the iPad but it's not even present/available on the iPhone so how can I make them match? Is this the problem? Hmmmmmmm. TIA.

There seems to be an issue with the settings app in iOS 17 on an iPhone since it isn't displaying the option to change the connection ID which needs to be the same on both devices. The default is "igigbook", if you set that as the Connection ID in iGigBook 9 settings, you should not have a problem.

Thanks, sadly that's not worked. Maybe I'll try capitalising 'iGigBook', hmmmm. To confirm, the devices should NOT be connected via Bluetooth?

From out tests "igigbook" all lower case works and do not pair your iPhone with your iPad.

There's no specific order. The connection ID in you case must be "igigbook" and I have done a gig yesterday using iGigBook Pager with an iPhone running iOS 17 and the only thing I had to do was set the connection id to "igigbook".

If you have paired your phone to your iPad, it isn't going to work. If you have other devices paired to your phone, like a speaker, headphones, etc, it's not going to work.
