Here’s my issue.
Let’s say I import a song into igigbook called song.pdf.
Let’s say I then need to make an edit to song.pdf so I make a new song.pdf file and upload it into igigbook.
Here’s what used to happen… the new song comes in as song-1.pdf and the old song stays as song.pdf. When this happened I would then delete song.pdf and then rename song-1.pdf to song.pdf.
Here’s what seems to be happening now… the new song comes in as song.pdf and the old song gets renamed to 250429-1658405090song.pdf. I think the numbers out front are the date and time.
I do this all the time and just recently noticed this change.
I have a few questions…
1. Today I did a folder rescan and ended up totally corrupting my “My Scores” folder. I had hundreds of additional files that were not there before — I think all of the old scores that I had replaced using my old technique above somehow came back as separate files with strings of numbers with today’s date attached. It is now difficult for me to recognize what is the most up-to-date version of each song file. I suspect this behavior is due to the change in how igigbook handles files when they are uploaded with the same name as an existing file.
2. This whole process also messed up my idraw file associations. Annotations now seem to be associated with the wrong file.
3. So it is going to take a long time for me to clean this up. Moving forward, is there a recommended way to import a new version of a pdf file after making corrections?
Thanks,
Charlie

Re: Making edits to old files and then re-importing them to igigbook
We never renamed files with a -1, I believe iOS does that on its own when it encounters a duplicate file.
In iGigBook if you import the same file from My Scores, we create a backup and add the current date and time to the beginning of the file. The most current version of the file is going to be the one without the date at the beginning of the file, the others are backup copies.
You can use the File App to delete multiple files in the iGigBook 10 that you do not need or to rename files that aren't visible in My Scores.
