Hello,
I'm subbing on a gig tomorrow and the BL was sending me some content and I was uploading books on the fly. After my two syncs of the day, I got sent some more files... but of course I'm only allowed two per day (which I still don't completely understand, but if that's the rule then it's the rule).
Is there a way to manually add preexisting indexes to my ipad without having to rely on the sync function? In a perfect world, I could sync just one more time and I'd be set... but now I have to wait 24 hours to do this and I won't be at my home computer to complete this. I guess I can do it from the iPad, but I like having things done sooner rather than later as it would give me time to finish out the set list now instead of at the last minute.
Thanks.

The only way to get index data on to your iPad is by syncing. As to why you are limited to 2 syncs per day: Back in June of this year you synced 10 times in a single day. Anybody that does that, is limited to 2 syncs per day going forward. Bandwidth isn't unlimited and we have thousands of users.
There are many messages displayed on the way to 10 syncs in a single day, which we hope would prompt the user to contact us because if you're doing that, you definitely have questions. You can sync again after midnight EST but you should probably describe what your workflow is so that we can help you make your workflow more efficient.

Re: Manually upload indexes?
To clarify, I'm going to be punished for the rest of my life because I was going through a learning curve the week I bought the app and you are going to publically shame me for it by pointing out how I didn't understand the syncing process? That's fine. I'll likely just try to figure out things on my own from this point out. Lesson learned. At the time I thought it was a local sync on my network between my two devices and not tied to your server.
If that's the case then I'd like to apologize upfront for my learning disability that sometimes makes it difficult to comprehend written/technical instructions. There are times in my life where I learn best through task oriented procedures and repetition (probably why I like being a musician). I also try to search the message board to look for answers prior to asking questions, but sometimes I have difficulty with selecting the proper search terms.
I was able to find some decent YouTube videos that got me through most of the process.
Thanks again.
