iGigBook Android PDF Cover Mismatch

Post by dmocigig »

I referred a friend who purchased iGigBook on my recommendation, and I'm helping get his Android tablet all set up for our shared gigs.
Lenovo Tab P12 running Android v15 and iGigBook 5.7.
I made an error and registered the wrong PDF to an index, immediately evident because the cover was incorrect. I unlinked the file from the index and deleted the "orphaned" file from MyScores.
Now, linking the correct PDF/Index results in accurate access to the contents (with proper offset), but the cover page image is stuck as if my original error is still in play! If there is a way to get this reset for an individual file/index association, I would love to have it appear correctly.

Thanks!

To do this, you will have to delete the app and then reinstall it, log in, sync. When you delete the app, unlike with iOS, the igigbook folder will not be affected.

Hi Phil -
Thanks for the guidance. My first 2 attempts have been unsuccessful, though the app is still functioning with all active indexes and files.
There is an option when deleting the app to "keep files" - which I elected to do. If that is incorrect, let me know and I'll give it a try.

"keep files" isn't what you think it is and is also why you were unsuccessful. Say "No" to "keep files".

No joy. Somehow, the association with the wrong cover image persists after uninstall and resync (first time today, as I understand there is a limit). Not a huge deal - just annoying. The Android app also requires selecting a book to associate with an index even if you reach that point and don’t have or can’t locate the correct file. The workaround seems to be: close the app before selecting something random and creating this cover mismatch problem.
Thanks,
