My Scores - Add Composer and Song Title

Post by Simon Jones »

Hi,
1. I have imported a number of pdfs as single page songs that now appear in My Scores, but would like to be able to search for them using Find Composers, and Song Search - is this possible? My title eg “ Armstrong Louis – Wonderful World” is just repeated twice on the left hand and right hand side of the Gig Set Viewer view so I am hoping that there is a way to edit this.

2. I was also wondering if there was a way to numerically order songs in Gig Set Viewer?
thanks

1. You cannot search for items that are in My Scores using Find Composers. You can search for items in My Scores in the Song Search but only if the item has a bookmark.

"Armstrong Louis - Wonderful World" - If you have a PDF named "Armstrong Louis - Wonderful World.pdf" in the My Scores view, display it and then add it to a set you usually wind up with an item looking like "p.1 Armstrong Louis - Wonderful World" on the left side and "Armstrong Louis - Wonderful World.pdf" on the right side in the Gig Set viewer. You can always use the set list manager to change the name of any item in set by pressing and holding that item until the name change dialog appears.

2. The Set List Manager lets you order the entries in the set how any way want my moving them individually or by sorting.

Phil,

On iPad, I have a question about "You can search for items in My Scores in the Song Search but only if the item has a bookmark."

Does bookmark mean saving the song to a set? That doesn't seem to be working for me; none of my songs saved to sets are showing up in song searches.

For example, I have a pdf book in My Scores titled "Louis Armstrong", it is not indexed. I display p.20 and save it to a set, automatically named "p.20 Louis Armstrong", then I rename it "Wonderful World".

I do a song search for "Wonderful World", there may be some results, but only indexed books and not including the song I saved and renamed as above. Same result when I save a song to a set from Book List that is indexed and automatically saved with the correct title.

Thank you,

Greg

Bookmark does not mean saving a song to a Set. A bookmark is a way to "index" a PDF that has no index for it. One can create bookmarks also know as table of contents using a program like Adobe Acrobat. iGigBook has the ability to import these table of contents entries or bookmarks and they will show up as search results. You can also create bookmarks whenever you view a PDF from the My Scores view by selecting the bookmark icon.
