Can you use app with macbook pro?

I like this app idea from the website but would like to be access the multiple versions of these tunes..

1)is that something you can even do on a macbook pro --- i'm guessing apps don't work on a macbook

2) if i got an ipad , can you access multiple versions of the same tune... i've noticed some of them are not exactly correct or have too many unnecessary chords and would like to check out a different version of that tune.

The iGigBook only runs on the iPad.
