As a sax player, I often double on Alto, Tenor, and Flute. Which requires C, Bb, and Eb books. So the Transposition feature of the app is very appealing. So I set up some of my real books to take advantage of this nice feature.
I have the default set to Bb. So if I call a tune with a Bb book set up, the app correctly brings up that tune (as expected). If I call a tune that does not have a Bb book set up, the app then brings up the C copy (also as expected). What would be helpful is an indicator on the toolbar that shows the key of the recalled book when the transposition feature is in use. That way we would be alerted if the app defaults back to C when we are expecting some other defaulted key.
For example. A “Bb†could show on the toolbar when the _Bb book is recalled. If that is not found, then a “C†could show on the toolbar.
Incidentally. I noticed that when I clicked the key icon, the drop down listed C as the default even though I had picked Bb as the default. But the app correctly pulled up the Bb tune. (This was on the Android version 3.6.2).
For most instruments, this might not be such a big deal, but it might be helpful for us horn players.
Thanks,
Dwayne
