Page back?

Post by jazaddict »

Does the app provide for a hands free return to the previous page?

No it does not. How do you think that would be accomplished? What gesture would you make to signify what direction you wanted to go? What would you need this feature?

Note that these are serious questions that I'm asking. I have played many reading gigs using iGigBook Pager and also bluetooth pedals and my own opinion is that the simplicity of the page turning using iGigBook Pager beats a pedal every time for a variety of reasons, not having to make sure your foot is over the correct pedal and engaging it with enough force, being the main one.

I have need for DC and DS page-backs. It's quite common in the charts I play.

I have no idea what gesture to use.... I wasn't asking as a "gotcha", I really just wanted to know.

I'm not thrilled about the prospect of another 70-120 dollar BT pedal purchase after the exorbitant fee for a M*&#@Fu+&#in Ipad(not your problem I realize)..... So I'm investigating alternatives.....

As it stands I can page back on-screen, right?

Oh, I see, you're asking the wrong question...When I use iGigBook Pager I also use it with iGigBooks ability to jump to different places in the score, which means you're always "pedaling" forward.

D.C, D.S., Coda, Sign, Repeats

I also make use of book marks and combine things in such a way that once in a set list you just page advance to play everything in the correct order. An example would be situations where there's a first and second ending on subsequent pages but for various reasons you need to play the second part twice.

I'm not "asking the wrong question". I don't want to set it up to make a pre-determined pass thru the music. . I want to go back and forth with my foot. Either your app does it or it doesn't..... It apparently doesn't.
Thank you.

I hear you. I provided information about using the page navigation features that automatically jump for you because you said this:
I have need for DC and DS page-backs. It's quite common in the charts I play.
But I see you rather use your foot to do that, cool...Asked and answered, case closed.
