Score drawing is available as a $4.99 In App Purchase. How do you buy this feature? First you have to sync with the iGigBook server AFTER UPDATING TO iGigBook 6 which will add an item to your Book List view that will show up with the thumbnail image "Feature Not Present" with a title of "+$ Drawing Feature". Select that item to purchase the feature and wait for the screen to change which signals the process has completed.

iGigBook - It's what the pros use. Now Available For Android Tablets!
Brilliant - works great for me. Very easy to use. This will really help with my music making!
(Needed a couple of attempts at the purchase stage (after syncing in Book List) and I got multiple requests to complete purchase - probably because I didn’t give enough time (? 20 seconds) for the “+$ drawing feature” purchase request to register at App Store - wait:), rather than clicking again. Then needed to close and restart igigbook)
Thanks for the feedback...The server is probably being hit pretty hard right now, with the email blast and all of the syncing, but it's been built to withstand the traffic. Glad to hear it's working great for you.

downloaded v.6 and want to pay the $5 for the pencil upgrade. Please tell me what it means to "sync with the igigbook server". the thumbnail that you speak of isn't showing up in my book list...
Thanks!
Seems like a nice feature. It should help for making directional markings on scores, although a compatible pen looks to be a necessity, as the finger writing is really pretty messy and clunky from what I've tried. Also, am I missing something, or has the previous ability to type notes been removed now? If so, that's a downgrade to go with the upgrade. Please tell me I'm wrong and point me to where I can use that feature again, which I used very often before, for instance to type chord substitutions in a neat and readable manner.
“Typed annotation” feature is still there, now second icon from the left, just to the right of the “pencil” feature. (For me, with the purchase, but don’t know whether removed from 6.0 as such)

Text notes are still there, next icon after the pencil on all PDF views.

I'm the fine with older version do I have to upgrade to 6.0
You probably should, there's minor bug fixes in the release as well. You don't have to buy the drawing feature if you don't want to.
