iRig (iK) Blue Turn pedal
Greetings. I have read posts here about the ik/irg Blue Turn pedal and the posts appear to indicate it is compatible with iGigbook, but I don't see any posts about configuration (for normal use - nothing fancy like midi commmands). My experience, is it pairs and communicates, but doesn't turn pages. The pedal has three modes and I've tried all three. It will highlight differents screen components and move between those components - e.g., tune names on a set list, but does not turn pages (which is the whole point of the device). iPad Pro 10.5 iOS 15.6. iGigbook 8.3. I have tried it the iGigbook iRig toggle setting both on and off, but it makes no difference. This is the same behavior as the Donner pedal (which I returned assuming it was not compatible with iGigbook and the Donner people never heard of iGigbook and could provide to help. So what am I missing here?

All of these pedals work the same way, they emulate a keyboard. This How To should help: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=936

Re: iRig (iK) Blue Turn pedal
Thanks, checking everything on the linked article (pedal instructions); it is a PDF and Bluetoth Pedal is enabked in the iPad's iGigbook settings, so I think everthing in the linked article is covered. Yet, when the pedal is set to Mode 2 (pgup/dwn) it is unresponsive. When set to arrow up/dwn, it will scroll through a list of tunes, so it is communicating, and then the other unexpected behavior is the blue frame around the whole tune (or buttons at the top).

Your mode should be up arrow and down arrow, those are the keystrokes that control pages turns.scottfg wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 8:08 pm Thanks, checking everything on the linked article (pedal instructions); it is a PDF and Bluetoth Pedal is enabked in the iPad's iGigbook settings, so I think everthing in the linked article is covered. Up/Dwn Arrow is mode 1. When it is set to mode one, it will scroll a highlight from tune name to tune name on the set list, but that's it. If you tap on a tune from the setlist and then try the pedal, nothing happens.

Re: iRig (iK) Blue Turn pedal
Turns out Full Keyboard Access must be disabled in the iPad's settings. (Seems odd the iRig BT's instructions don't mention this). Whether that's true for other pedals, I'm not sure, but I'll bet so, since the Donner had this same problem.
This eliminates the blue frame and now when in a an iGigbook Set List with one of the tune therein displayed, the behavior is:
Pedal Mode 1 (Up/Dn ARROW): turns to the next page in the book the tune is from, so this works to get to P.2 of a tune in a set list (but then you have to tap back to the set list bcz. to get to the next tune on the set list - if you press the pedal's down again, it goes to the next page in the Book the tune is from, not the next tune in the set list - I guess because thata requires a left/right command instead of up/dn - see Mode 3 below)
Pedal Mode 2 (Pg Up/Dwn) does nothing - presumably bcz. iGigbook does not use te Page Up/Dwn command for anything (?)
Pedal Mode 3 (ARROW left/right): This moves between Tunes in the Setlist, but skips an Second page of a tune, since that requires an Arrow Down mode - I guess that's why the 4 pedal iRig may be a better choice since you (apparently) do'nt need to change mode - which requires turning the pedal off and back on) to have access to both up/dn and left/right. ugh.

Yes, the pedal setting is enabled in the iPad's iGigbook settings. But when Full Keyboard access was enabled, that made no difference. It only worked correctly with Full Keyboard access disabled.
