Charles Anderson FakeBook

Post by Pat Mullen »

I just purchased iGigBook due to performance problems forScore has with the Charles Anderson fake book. I spent a lot of time creating a forScore index for this 8,500 tune behemoth. I can re-format the data to get it into iGigBook, but I don't see a way to do that.

iGigBook Content Manager provides the field format, as one would use with csv files, but it apparently has a 500-item limit for custom indexes imported using this tool. Is this true? Is there a way around this? Can import my own csv file? I would prefer that to copying and pasting 500 tunes at a time.

You email asking the same thing has been answered but I'll post the reply here:
We have a 500 item limit due to bad actors uploading junk to our server in
addition most books are less than 500 pages with all of the indexes we offer
being less than a thousand songs. We've been at this since 2010 and have
had no shortage of bad actors trying to compromise the system. You just
happen to have an extremely rare exception to the norm.

The format for the data is CSV with an example on the Bulk Upload Page.

"Tune Up",7,1,"Davis, Miles"

These are comma separated values as far as I can see.
