Feature Request - Multiple instances of a song in gig list

Hello, I would like to be able to have multiple instances of a song in a gig list. We quite often play a series whereby the same song may be incorporated later on - for example we make a medley out of four songs only to make the fifth song the same as the fourth. Maybe the prompt could come up and say "This song is already in your gig list, are you sure you want to add a duplicate?" I hope this is the right spot for this request. Great product and I use it every week!

You can already add multiple instances of a song to a Set List, they just cannot have the same name. To add another copy of a song to your set list, you have to rename the first one using the Set List Manager.

Thanks for the tip! It would be nice if when prompted that the song already is in the list that it would ask "do you want to add this instance as a different name".

The fine tuning of a set list is best done using the Set List Manager which allows you to add a song of the same name from the same book to a set list. It won't however allow you to add one after the other, which means you'll have to move the item up the list or rename it. It's purposefully not as restrictive as adding a song to a set while viewing the page since you can see all of the items in the set list and you can reposition, rename, etc.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but has this behavior been changed? I can no longer add a second instance of a song -- although renaming works as before, trying to add the tune again does nothing. I have also stopped seeing the "this title is already in your setlist" message if the first instance was not renamed. The "add song" click just gets ignored. I don't see any new settings that pertain to this. Thanks if you can explain what I'm missing.

This works fine, you have to clear the preview of the chart. If you want to discuss this further, create a new thread as this isn't a request for a new feature.
