Index order for numbered entries

I’ve created a pdf for band charts where the songs are referred to by their numerical positions in the book. Often tunes are called on the bandstand by their number, not name.
I created an index that lists both the songs by title and the number preceding the title. The problem is that the alphabetized list doesn’t show the numbers in numerical order. I get something like this:
1 Little Wing
10 Big Love
100 Blueberry Hill
101 Etc

When, of course I want
1 Little Wing
2 Getting Sentimental
3 Free Bird
Etc

Is there a way to get the ordering correct?

The sorting you are seeing is correct and based on how you have titled the songs.

Hint: 01 comes before 1, 09 comes before 10, 099 comes before 100.
